Fujitsu Siemens Amilo L1300 Drivers

I have an old L1300 on which I reloaded Windows XP from the original disk and updated to SP3. Prior to the crash which necessitate the reload, the WLan was working fine. The Wireless connection does not appear in Network Connections. In Device Manager there is an unidentied PCI device shown against a yellow question mark.

If I search Fujitsu Siemens support website for the L1300 WLAN adapter it indicates a Gemtek850FJxConexant. It gets confusing because if I search using the laptop serial number, it indicates an IntelPROWireless 2200BG device. I have downloaded both drivers, but neither drivers recognise the device when the set up programme is run, nor when I try to load from Device Manager. I ran the Intel Wireless Lan Identification Utility as I thiought it may require the chipset drivers, but this does not recognise the WLan Adapter. Any suggestions? Yes - I have lost the original disk containing the drivers. Posts: 1 Joined: Wed Oct 28, 2009 4:12 pm.

I'm trying to get IE 10 or 11 to install with wine an get stuck with either 'Operating system not supported' when wine is set to vista or win 8, or 'Internet Explorer needs an update before installing' Win 7. The required update appears to be Windows 7 Service Pack 1. Is there any way I can get the windows 7 in wine to service pack level 1. Install internet explorer 10 wine.

Hi, yes I had the same problem. Download the Gemtec Driver from Fujitsu Support and extract it to a folder on your desktop. Copy the files to either a memory stick or CDr. Go to Device Drivers and delete the unidentified device. Reboot Windows then cancel automatic driver search and select 'Have Disc' then direct Windows to your CD or memory stick drive letter. Wait a few moments and you should see 'Windows is loading new software'.

Your Gemtec should then work. Alternatively, replace the Gemtec with a Broadcom card. Much more reliable and autoloads on Windows 7.

Hope this helps Posts: 6 Joined: Wed Jul 07, 2010 8:30 pm.
