Weather Radar in FS will never be even 1% true.:D The reason is that all clouds are randomly placed 'sprites' in FS. SA_WXR for Project Magenta to name an example excellently emulates Collins 2100 Radar found in many airliners. It is a very good simulated radar, but is only driven by the actual weather in FS. If there is CB activity you will see CB clouds, but not in the visual position the clouds are on your outside view - instead they are placed out randomly on the radar screen (in this case an overlay for the ND). Other add-on 'radars' are even worse and uses downloaded satellite images. Those of course does not coinside at all with what you see outside through the flighdeck window.

Best regards SK1200 There's addon which merges the RXP WX500 and PMDG to view the WX-info on the EHSI-screen, but it works only in the VC-model of the airplane (for example I newer use VC when flying the 37, if you download this merge you will have to fly in the VC- or cabin-model of the PMDG-airctaft). Most easiest way to find the actual modification is to look for it trough google or straight from TPB (:-[). The torrent-file includes the modification and you can ignore the WX500 supplied with it if you have bought it from RXP.

I use the radar as it is at my radio panel, without any merges. IMO it works all fine and helps me to fly past those nasty CB's, though in real life the info is displayed on the EHSI and not through separate unit in the radio-panel. Hoping to get some kind of more accurate radar for FSX one day when the NG2 is released and when I'm leaving FS9 after our long relationship;D I can get picture of my configuration later if you wish.
