Tomtom Loquendo Tts Voices

Jun 22, 2010  Thanks AUS_KING, but those are recorded voices. I'm talking about text-to-speech (TTS), where it reads out the name of the street or suburb. I've found out that my TomTom One (v4) uses the Vocalizer TTS engine (made by Nuance), as there is a 'VocalizerTTS' folder on my GPS. Original tomtom loquendo what 'loquendo? Loquendo Text-to-Speech (TTS) is a synthesized voice that stands out from classical voices (recorded, for example Clare, Roberto or all items in Colorado and Cabaret) for being able to read street names, alerts, sMS, the traffic information and tutorials (some of these functions are only available on certain models).

I have manually downloaded the smaller english Loquendo TTS files for the tomtom but I a not sure where each of the files needs to be installed on the tomtom. Anybody have a tutorial on exactly where each of the TTS files needs to be installed on the tomtom.? Or alternatively can the voice cab file be imported into tomtom home so I can let tomtom home install the voices to there correct locations? Marvel ultimate alliance 2 patch fr jeux.

I know tomtom home gives me the option to download the voice files and install them. But I don't want to have to download them all again, when I already have them downloaded.

Howdy all I have a GO 910 which was purchased quite some time ago, and has worked quite well for a long time. Considering it was a few years old, I recently purchased and downloaded a new map for Australia, and made a number of updates of the device itself via TomTom Home. I now have software version 7.903 on the device, and the Australian map (latest). Here are a few questions I have, having made these updates: I have always in the past used the 'Kate - UK' voice, in fact, never changed this as it worked well for me.

I did notice the other day, having made these updates, that the text-to-speech was now spelling 'State Route', 'National', 'MetRoad'. A suggested fix I read for a different model - that being to turn off reading route numbers in preferences, does not seem to be available for the GO 910, so I'd like to know if there is a solution for this spelling out of names. I notice that within TomTom Home, the voice I am currently using (Kate - UK) is - among others - showing that it won't work with my device (but it does work, as I have this selected). I was looking here to see if there was an update to these voice files that might solve the spelling of names issue I listed above.

Whilst here I notice in TomTom Home that I can download and install 'Recorded Voices' but not 'Computer Voices', all the recorded voices seem to be very small files, whereas the files for Kate - UK (among others) appear to be quite large, as I assume these are Loquendo voices (and I feel the quality of them is much higher). What I'd like to know is how to update the existing Loquendo voices so as to potentially address the spelling issue, and potential compatibility? Thanks in advance for any thoughts or solutions! Thanks Traylaw for the reply I had actually thought of a damaged voice file, had previously found the download you kindly linked to, downloaded it, and extracted same. The structure of those voice files seem very different from the existing structure on the GO 910 (which, when compared to a backup taken some time ago, I find the backup matches the live device perfectly). What I am going to try is a bit of a kludge - I'll back up the existing files on the device, replace with these, and see how it goes - will edit back in here when done, and thank you for the suggestion & helpful links! OK - there is some good news here on the overall issue that prompted all of this digging and messing with voice files When I had seen in the TomTom HOME software that (pretty much) all the Loquendo voices were being listed as 'Not compatible' after the map & other updates, I had been deathly afraid to switch the unit from the Kate - UK voice to any other, fearing I would not be able to reselect it later.
