Hello, I've a problem with the HDMI port. I'm not able to connect the L650 to my TV. There will be no incoming signal to the TV. The TV port is okay because I can connect my digital camera without any problems. The HDMI port is not shown in the hardware manager. I'm using not the windows 7 version which was installed originally.

I have formated the disk and have reinstalled an other windows version. Do I need a special driver to activate the HDMI port? I have just installed the catalyst driver from ATI. If you need more information I will try to give them asap.

I have tried all four HDMI port of the TV all say first without connecting to the laptop 'check the cable'. When I put the cable into the HDMI port the message changes immediatelly to 'No signal'. Therefor I think the TV recognise the connection but get no signal. The TV port was changing defenitily from passive to active. The VGA port is working well by the way. I have tried the key combination but only the laptop monitor is shown and can be choosen.
With the VGA connection I see a CRT monitor. In the device manager HDMI is not shown what kind of entry should I see and were exactly? I didn' find anything to change in the BIOS as well. In which way will the HDMI port normally be controlled? Via ATI graphic card, windows, Toshiba or Intel or something else? Any further ideas?

Hello I’m sure that HDMI port and other functions work properly with other Windows versions or your own installation but as you know, driver installation is not easy. You have to follow a special installation order to get everything working properly. I assume there must be something wrong with your Windows installation, who knows which drivers you have installed and in which order So in my opinion you should order the Toshiba recovery disk and test it again. If the same happens with recovery disk it seems to be a hardware malfunction.
